Today begins the process for my first project in Human Centered Design. As you can see, we’re doing this image matrix of thumbnails for ideas. Along the left hand, I’ve listed various rhetorical devices (tropes) that I’ll be depicting for each of the descriptive words listed above.
I’ve never really done this before and it seems like it’ll be a pretty cool brainstorming method. I’ve always been a lover of the English language and the various characteristics of literature, including rhetoric. While it may be difficult for me to try to create visuals for each rhetorical device, it’ll definitely get my brain going and could lead to some good initial ideas on directions I can go with this.
Last night though, when I posted that first little tidbit… I was working on the mood board for the project. Here’s the mood boards I made. I collaborated with a classmate, Kristen Ashton and she made the presentation featured below after I sent her the last three files.
I’m working on a music poster for one of the upcoming performances in the Folly Theater‘s Jazz Series for this season. Specifically, I’ll be designing a possible poster for David Benoit’s Christmas Tribute to Charlie Brown. Yes, you heard that right. CHARLIE BROWN! I love Christmas so this will definitely be a fun little project. I’ll keep you posted. (:
