To brand the company in a way that exhibits their renewed vigor and more solidified presence. This included a full identity package featuring business cards, letterheads, and more.
During a meeting with the owner, I learned that he was a very friendly soul and he conducted business with the same cordial manner. His business was relatively new and he had several ideas in the works and the concept of “ideas” and “thinking out of the box” stuck with me as I moved forward with the design.
I didn’t want to jump too far away from some of the colors that the company already established for themselves, but I also felt that the cyan they were using wasn’t quite speaking their brand. The colors I chose had more meaning as I opted for a deeper navy to evoke a sense of strength, solidarity, and trustworthiness. The yellow incorporated into the logo was a way for me to represent their new vibrant energy as a company with a bright future and friendly demeanor. While my older explorations featured a light bulb to signify ideas, I wanted to step back from the typically expected connection between the a light bulb and ideas.
Pictured left are a few of the numerous pages of sketches I went through during the initial phases of this branding.
