We’re currently exploring the “Internet of Things“. I’ve never heard of this term prior to hearing about it in my UX design class and I didn’t really know it was even a thing! But after learning about it, it’s so amazingly interesting. I mean, according to this article, you can see the importance and influence of it.
To think that this… I guess it can be called a “field” of study, to think that this field is so enormous and expanding everyday due to our growth in technology is astounding. If you want to apply the studies of philosophy and psychology to this, we could say that it’s not surprising due to man’s nature to strive toward this “God” character (Based on the idea that God is a man-made construct). With our growth in technology, we’re attempting to apply everyday discoveries and improvements to ourselves, as a way to improve upon what limits we may have as a species.
Well, I’m currently brainstorming ideas that could help us in this way and here are some pics of my matrixes that are considering various aspects of the ideas. Along the top row is the item name/problem and along the left column is a list of the following: human behavior patterns, artifacts, and WIFI solutions.
What do you guys think? Any ideas on ways we can use technology to it’s maximum potential and apply it to either small or large problems that we may have?
